Brigadoon

“Do you want to star in my play,” I was asked at my grandpa’s house. I had always wanted to be an actress so I eagerly and quickly as if I wanted to make sure nobody stole my part said yes. “So what’s it about,” I asked. “It’s an old story called Brigadoon,” I would of listened for the rest, but, being only 8 I was already off in my mind thinking about what I’d be doing so I didn’t pay attention but I was really excited. Once I heard my Grandpa stop talking I exclaimed it should be fun and ran off to tell my Mom.
It was the first day for of training for the play. There was lots of people. I especially remember a boy and an older girl. The boy was really nice and the girl was pretty cool but on our opening play she told me not go out on my only part and she had practiced with me because she had a part in it too. She said she hadn’t known and I’m very passive so it was okay (after I cried for a bit). But I got to go out on all the other nights so it was okay.
