The Dark Side Of Gasoline

Stuck in the middle of no where with no gasoline. It all started when my mom’s friend had to invite us to San Antonio Lake for the 4th of July. When we got there it was boiling hot out side the air was sticky hot ,and humid. I told my dad kindly if I could go to the lake he said
“okay, but be care full don’t go to far were you cant swim.’’ I just nodded, pertending I cared. As I walked over there and saw the lake my first expression was “Yuck!’’ the lake was dirty brown it had trash all over the edges the worst part was people were in it I just walked away and went to my dad. He said
“Why aren’t you wet, I thought you were gonna go swimming?’’
“ was but the water was dirty’’
I said weirdly. Out of no where my mom’s friend’s husband said “theirs a swimming pool over by those oak trees.’’
I looked at my daddy n said “lets go to the pool!’’
“okay, but be careful and take your brother’’
“ugh, fine!’’. When we got to the pool the sing said “to enter please pay $3.00 each person.” But no one was there I just walked in I swam and had a little of fun but my mother came she shouted
“go eat ! we’re almost leaving .”
“okay!” as I got out of the pool. When I got to the camp place I ate and it was getting dark, so we left. As we dove off we stopped unknowing what way to go left or right. It was even spookier because their was some kind of old liquor store. I thought a crazy old guy was going come out of there and chase me. 40 min. in the car and we still couldn’t find any sing of a city. But until my dad said that the car’s running out of gas. My mom started to freak out and my dad was nervous, and I was about to cry my brother was just sleeping . but luckily there was a car in front of us. My mom told my dad to make sings so the other car will pull over. When my dad flashed his car lights the other car stopped, my dad got out of the car and said,
“Hey, can you help us we are running out of gas?’’
“Sure but first I got to take my family to the house n get the pump; do you want to come?’’
“No, no thank you because my family is going to be scared being here alone”.
“Okay, we’ll be right back” as they drove off the car was shacking softly and growling. I told my mom “Why is the car shacking ?”
“It’s running out of gas” she said sadly. I felt like crying, it was night no gasoline no lights no nothing . when they came back I was relived. My mom gave they guy $20 bucks and when we got to a gasoline station she gave him an other $20 bucks. I feltso happy as we drove off. I didn’t even notice I fell asleep until my mom woke me up. She said “Wake up, wake up, we’re home” I just looked at her and rushed out of the car like a crazy person. I didn’t change into my pj’s I just whent straight to sleep with my dirty clothes on, it was a long day for me.
